John Deere is pushing up the limits of conventional tractor design. In my latest article for Macchine Trattori, I take a closer look at the new 8R and 8Rx series, currently the most powerful conventional tractor on the market, with up to 634 hp (equivalent to 473 kW) in Peak Power mode.

Some key aspects, in short:

• new eAutoPowr transmission, with electric generators to improve efficiency

• a strong focus on operator environment, with the new CommandView 4/4 Plus cabins

• high hydraulic capacity, up to 418 l/min, to handle increasingly demanding implements like planters or air drills.
