Back to the farmland - the story of Kenneth Karlsson, founder of Enköpings Maskinstation AB

Posted by Gabriele Dell'Orto on April 03, 2026

Arriving at Enköping train station, a small town about an hour from Stockholm, the thermometer reads minus four degrees. The air is sharp, the sky clear and blue, and a blanket of snow covers the surrounding fields. Yet welcoming us is the warm smile of Kenneth Karlsson, a Swedish contractor who has made returning to the land a true life choice. This is how the meeting with Kenneth began. He founded and now manages Enköpings Maskinstation AB, a well established although relatively recent contractor service company north of Lake Mälaren. We discussed the history and the roots of his company, future business perspectives, and agricultural equipment details. This conversation became a nice piece published in “Il Contoterzista”, the official magazine of the Italian contractors’ body CAI Agromec.

I acknowledge Kenneth and Vilhelm from Väderstad AB for making the interview possible.

The full interview is available in March issue. Please give a look to the preview.
